In the last two years, I’ve lost nearly sixty pounds, which is pretty amazing! I’ve been asked how I did it, and I don’t know how to answer most of the time. I just eat real food, and workout a few times a week. There’s no trick to it, just a well balanced diet with lots of minimally processed foods.
The hardest part has been cutting back on refined carbs and sugars. Like I said, in the beginning, my willpower was strong and it seemed easy. Now, two years later, I’ve given myself more and more leeway, claiming that I refuse to be miserable while losing weight.
But I’m too far off track now. Once again, I’m a slave to the sugar addiction that is so hard to break.
I realized this today, while unable to stop shoving delicious donut holes in my face after eating a healthy lunch.
So, I might be miserable for the next couple of weeks, but it’s time to break the cycle. It might not be the reason I’ve been feeling so out of sorts lately, but it certainly can’t hurt to get these sugar cravings under control.
